Warehouse Foreman

Job Description

The Warehouse Foreman supervises warehouse operations related to large solid items such as tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, piping, drapes, and kitchen equipment. This position supervises warehouse crewmembers and reports to the Warehouse Manager. 

Duties
  • Assists in leading warehouse staff (i.e.: small teams put together by management)
  • Has a detailed knowledge of Wallace Events’ inventory; communicates and teaches this knowledge to other crew members. 
  • Ensures that work remains on schedule and communicates any necessary changes or delays to the Warehouse Supervisor 
  • Leads packing and unpacking of equipment and vehicles throughout the day, ensures that items are stowed efficiently and safely during transit for a smooth delivery, and are stored properly after use 
  • Ensures timely and efficient “turnover” of rental products between use, an ongoing task throughout the day
  • Helps to maintain and clean inventory in designated departments. Has a working knowledge of our rental inventory
  • Uses appropriate tools and equipment to maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse space 
  • Ensures the proper placement and documentation of all items in the warehouse and supports inventory accuracy at all times 
  • Supports operational success whenever possible; ensures the quality of work and service in the warehouse 
  • Manages and cares for assigned vehicles, equipment, and other company property in the warehouse
  • Ensures that safety protocols are practiced in the warehouse 
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times while working with customers and crewmembers
  • Supports safety and equipment maintenance at all times 
  • Retrieves inventory items to fill operations and sales orders  
  • Ensures proper placement and documentation of all inventory
  • Must be able to identify all tent parts for accurate loading and unloading including frame, Navi, losberger, pole, sail &  marquee (Hard Goods)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license Knows where to find the MSDS sheet book and basic first aid for chemical exposure to all relevant cleaning chemicals used by the department 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Management Staff

 

Work Schedule
This position typically works a five- or six-day work week (50 – 60 hours) in the summer and a four-day workweek (30 – 40 hours) in the winter. Evening and weekend hours are required, and 10+ hour days may be expected, especially on event days.
Qualifications

Experience:
– Previous experience in warehouse management or a similar role
– Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control procedures
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

$22-$25 per hour (based on experience)
